Building Skills Through Real Experience

Started in 2018, we've been teaching video editing the way it actually works in professional settings. No shortcuts or empty promises – just practical training from people who've done the work themselves.

Our programs focus on what matters: building confidence with the software, understanding workflow decisions, and creating content that meets professional standards. We teach what we know works because we've tested it in real client projects.

What We're Trying to Do

The video editing field has changed a lot since we started. Tools got more accessible, but that also meant more confusion about what actually matters when you're learning.

We focus on teaching the fundamentals that don't change with software updates. Color theory, pacing, audio mixing – these concepts work the same whether you're cutting corporate videos or creative content.

Our goal is straightforward: help people develop real editing skills through hands-on practice with guidance from experienced professionals.

What Guides Our Teaching

Practical Over Theoretical

We believe you learn editing by doing it, not just watching tutorials. Our programs emphasize project work with feedback cycles.

Honest Timelines

Getting good at video editing takes months of consistent practice. We're upfront about the time investment and what skills develop at each stage.

Industry Standards

We teach the workflows and quality benchmarks that professional clients expect, based on our direct experience working with businesses.

How We Got Here

2018

Started With Weekend Workshops

Three of us were freelancing and kept getting asked about editing techniques. We started running small Saturday workshops in Muskogee, teaching basics to local business owners who wanted to handle their own video content.

2020

Shifted to Structured Programs

The pandemic pushed everything online, which actually helped us develop better curriculum. We moved from casual workshops to organized multi-week programs with specific learning objectives and project milestones.

2022

Expanded Course Offerings

Started adding specialized tracks for different content types – social media editing, corporate video, creative storytelling. Each track developed based on what our graduates were actually pursuing professionally.

2024

Built Partnership Network

Connected with local production companies and marketing agencies who helped inform our curriculum. This gave students access to portfolio building opportunities with real clients.

2025

Refining Advanced Training

Currently developing more advanced programs for editors who want to specialize in color grading and motion graphics. These launch in fall 2025 based on industry feedback we've collected.

Who Does the Teaching

Our instructors are working professionals who still take on editing projects. That keeps their knowledge current and their teaching grounded in what actually matters in client work.

Lilith Kensington

Color & Post-Production Instructor

How We Structure Learning

Our programs run between six and twelve months depending on the track. We've found that's the realistic timeframe for developing competence with professional editing workflows.

Most students spend ten to fifteen hours weekly on coursework and projects. That includes instructor-led sessions, practice assignments, and revision work based on feedback.

Project-Based Learning

Each module centers on completing specific types of edits that mirror real client deliverables. You learn techniques by applying them to actual work scenarios.

Regular Review Cycles

Submit work weekly for detailed feedback. Our instructors review every project and provide specific notes on technical execution and creative choices.

Portfolio Development

Build a collection of finished pieces throughout the program. We help you select and refine work that demonstrates your capabilities to potential clients or employers.
